What’s the emergency protocol?

In the event of an emergency, your first and most important step is to call 911 immediately. Emergency services are best equipped to respond quickly to situations involving immediate risk to health, safety, or property.

Once emergency services have been contacted and it is safe to do so, you must follow up by calling the SRS emergency phone number provided to you during your orientation. This number is monitored by SRS for urgent situations outside of normal business hours. You may also follow up by emailing the support team with a subject line labeled URGENT.

When you call the SRS emergency line, you will be connected with a member of the SRS team who will assess the situation and guide you through next steps, including coordination with hosts, schools, guardians, or other relevant parties as needed. Our goal is to ensure appropriate support, clear communication, and student safety throughout the emergency response process.
