What does it mean when a host is “verified”?

Verified hosts complete a comprehensive screening and onboarding process designed to ensure the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care for students. This includes a criminal background check, home inspection, and mandatory onboarding and training so hosts fully understand their responsibilities and our expectations.

In addition:

  • Every home is reviewed by our team to confirm it is safe, clean, and suitable for student living.

  • Hosts receive ongoing support, guidance, and regular check-ins throughout the student’s stay, ensuring any concerns are addressed quickly and thoughtfully.

  • All hosts are trained to understand cultural differences, respect student privacy, and provide appropriate daily care, communication, and supervision.

  • Many of our verified hosts have years of experience welcoming international students and are committed to creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive home environment.
