Do I get paid if the student leaves early?

Students are required to provide a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice if they intend to vacate their homestay, in accordance with program guidelines. When such notice is given, hosts will continue to receive payment for the duration of the full two-week notice period or until the student officially moves out of the home—whichever is later. This policy ensures that hosts are fairly compensated and have adequate time to prepare for a transition, while also allowing program coordinators to effectively manage homestay arrangements. Hosts are expected to continue providing accommodation and support during the notice period and should promptly inform their program coordinator of any student move-out notifications. If the early departure is due to a host-related issue (rare), payment may be adjusted or paused pending resolution. SRS reserves the right to waive the two-week notice requirement in cases where a student is removed from the program for reasons beyond SRS’s control.

We’ll communicate directly with you in these cases and always aim for fairness.
